Capri, Positano and Amalfi sit within a few miles of each other, so a day can hold a swim beneath the Faraglioni before the excursion boats come out, lunch at anchor off Nerano, and a table above the water in Positano at nine. There is no driving, no parking, no waiting on the Amalfi road.
Ischia and Procida, on the other side of the bay, stay far quieter and give you somewhere calm to spend the night. And the cooking along this stretch — Nerano's pasta, the lemons, the fish — is a real part of why people repeat the week.

May – September
May, June and September are the most comfortable. In August the coast road is close to gridlock, which is precisely when arriving by tender is worth most.

Swim off the Faraglioni early, then go up to Anacapri while the day boats fill the Marina Grande.
Nerano
Anchor in the bay for lunch ashore, a short tender ride from the yacht.
Positano
Come in by tender in the evening for dinner on a terrace above the beach.

Cross for the night where the coast goes quiet, with thermal water and a working harbour.
