A thousand miles of fjords and channels between the Andes and the Southern Ocean, with almost nothing built along any of it.
The Chilean channels are a labyrinth. Glaciers come down to the waterline, condors work the ridges above, and you can go for days without seeing another vessel. Some stretches are sheltered enough to be easy; others are entirely at the mercy of the wind, which is part of why so few people cruise here.
Land days are the counterpart: Torres del Paine, fly fishing in rivers that see one rod a season, walks onto ice. Further south the channels lead to Cape Horn, and for those with time, Antarctica is the natural continuation of the same trip.

The southern summer, with the longest days and the least ice in the channels. Wind is a constant here in any month and shapes each day's plan.
